Palestine Solidarity Actions Planned for the Twin Ports

With the ever increasing crisis unfolding in Gaza, where the population is literally being starved to death by the Israeli military, local activist are planning a series of Palestine solidarity actions.  The goal is keep ramping up pressure on Israel, and their allies in the U.S. government, to end the carnage.  Here is a list of upcoming events.  Mark your calendar and help us spread the word!

August 7: March Against State Terror to protest the war on the people of Gaza, as well as the ICE raids in the U.S.  The event will start at 3:30pm at the Clayton, Jackson & McGhie Memorial in Duluth.  This event is sponsored by Anti-Imperialist Action.

August 7: The Northwoods Socialist Collective will be holding a sign and banner making party at the Solidarity House (1506 N 19th Street in Superior).  We'll have some signs and markers on hand, but feel free to bring any additional art supplies you'd like to use.

August 14: Feed Gaza/Free Palestine Hwy Banner Protest at 5pm at the 1-35 pedestrian overpass near the M&H gas station in Duluth.  This event is sponsored by the Northwoods Socialist Collective.

August 21: Feed Gaza/Free Palestine Street Corner Protest at 5pm at the corner of London Road & 21st Ave. E in Duluth.  This event is sponsored by the Northwoods Socialist Collective.

September & October: There will be a series of film showings at local college campuses of the documentary called "The Encampments".  The documentary is about the Palestine solidarity encampment that happened at Columbia University last year.  Stay tuned for more info!

October 25: The Palestine Solidarity Working Group is going to be holding a multi-workshop teach-in starting at noon at the UCC Peace Church in Duluth.  Stay tuned for more info!

Every Thursday: The Palestine Solidarity Working Group meets at 7pm, usually at the Central Hillside Community Center.  It's a great way to plug in to the local solidarity movement!
