Palestine Solidarity in the Twin Ports

As Israel continues its genocidal campaign to try and wipe Gaza off of the map, activists in the Twin Ports continue their efforts to stand in solidarity with the beleaguered people of Palestine.  Here is a brief summary of recent and upcoming solidarity events in our region.

This past Saturday, more than 50 folks gathered at the Pilgrim Congregational Church in Duluth for a teach-in titled "Resisting Genocide & Zionism".  The event was organized by the Palestine Solidarity Working Group.  It consisted of a series of workshops on topics like the history of ethnic cleansing in Palestine & North America, the economic history of Zionism and the Boycott, Divest & Sanctions movement.  The event also hosted a picnic and a brainstorming sessions for future actions.

This month there are five Palestine solidarity protests planned:

June 13: Free Palestine / Divest From Wells Fargo & Elbit Protest; 2pm at 230 W Superior Street in Duluth.

June 14: Flag Day / Free Palestine Protest; 3:30pm at the corner of Lake Avenue & Superior Street in Duluth.

June 26: Free Palestine / No Pride in Genocide Protest; 5pm at the corner of Lake Avenue & Superior Street in Duluth.

June 27: Free Palestine / Divest From Wells Fargo & Elbit Protest; 3:30pm at 230 W Superior Street in Duluth.

June 28: Free Palestine / No to Fascism & Genocide Protest; 1pm at the corner of Lake Avenue & Superior Street in Duluth.

All of these events are being organized by Twin Ports Anti-Imperialist Action.

To stay in the loop about these and other actions, we urge folks to regularly check the calendar here on our website.  And you can find a list of Palestine solidarity groups and resources at this linktree
