Duluth Building Trades Picketing Popeyes

For the last couple of weeks the Duluth Building Trades have been picketing the construction site where a new Popeyes is being built on Central Entrance Avenue (across from the Residence Inn).  Below is the text of the flier that the Trades are distributing explaining their pickets, and asking for support:

Popeyes / Ayazz Construction has hired low wage, out of the area contractors to build their store in Duluth.

There are numerous local union contractors in the area who are willing, able and available to do this work.

There are the same men and women whose kids go to our schools here, buy their groceries here, invest at local financial institutions, pay their taxes, volunteer at community functions and who are your friends and neighbors.

An out of area contractor can never spend or produce the relationship that our local workforce can.
