Over 100
city workers rallied at Duluth City Hall on October 4. City workers are
currently in contract negotiations with the Administration, and so far the
negotiations have not been going well. Not only is the Administration low
balling the workers on their wage offers, but they are demanding cuts to their
health and leave benefits.
We urge everyone to stand in solidarity with the folks who fix the potholes, staff the libraries, and do all of the other things to make this city run. Stay tuned for more ways to show your support for the workers in their fight for a fair contract.
The workers are represented by AFSCME Local 66. You can follow them on facebook via this link: https://www.facebook.com/CityOfDuluthAFSCMELocal66
