Shame on Essentia! Stand Up to Their Greed!

Essentia's outdoor sign thanking and honoring "front line heroes" is broken, flaking and faded. This is a painfully accurate symbol of how they are treating their workers. If you work at Essentia and are covered by the Steelworkers Green Book be sure to fly your union colors to show your support for the union negotiating committee. USW Local 9460 asking everyone to wear their union sticker and display their car sign Tuesday and Wednesday.  The union is nearing the end of contract negotiations.  To date Essentia has refused to consider a raise of more than 2.1%.  This despite their having eliminated almost all of the registration work positions, cutting overtime and dramatically increasing everyone’s workload.  While at the same time, Essentia’s CEO has deemed fit to give himself more than a 7% raise, bring his annual compensation to more than $3 million a year!
