Healthcare Workers Rally Held in Downtown Duluth

Thank you to everyone who turned out on December 10 for the "Essentia Health - Your Workers Deserve Better" rally in front of the Duluth Playhouse.  The rally was called by the United Steelworkers Local 9460 on behalf of the 750 tech workers who are engaged in a bitter contract fight with Essentia Health. The protest took place in front of the Playhouse because Essentia is a prominent donor to that institution.  It was the most recent of a series of actions they have held to make the community aware of the low wages, short staffing levels and misplaced priorities that Essentia is imposing on its work force.
