Starbucks
workers are the Duluth Woodland store announced they were joining the
Starbucks Workers United union on November 16 with a two hour strike. The
workers have filed with the National Labor Relations Board to have a
union certification election. As a result of the strike, the store was
completely shut down. About three dozen workers and supporters picketed
on Woodland Avenue, eliciting a ton of support from passing motorists
and pedestrians! This action was held in conjunction with similar actions all around the country today.
